She also told us how she's dating a chef and now all her tips seem to be about food. Please go to www.dailycandy.com and subscribe to Daily Candy Atlanta edition to get Tiffany's great tips. Next up we had on Dr Pete Scire with Brain Balance Center. The Brain Balance Program is a comprehensive program which incorporates a unique multi-faceted approach to the assessment and the development of individualized intervention plans for children affected by the Neurobehavioral/Developmental Disorders such as ADD/ADHD, Asperger’s Syndrome, Tourrette’s Syndrome, PDD, Autism, Processing Disorders, and Learning Disabilities (i.e. Dyslexia). Based upon the most current research their program works from
a brain based model which recognizes that many of the children that are
diagnosed with these disorders suffer a foundational imbalance or
under-connectivity of electrical (brain) activity. This imbalance or
under-connectivity occurs within and between the two halves (hemispheres)
and/or large networks of the brain. They believe that it is this imbalance of function, within and between the two halves of the brain which is often responsible for many if not all of the physical, cognitive or mental, and/or behavioral difficulties related to these disorders. Based upon their comprehensive assessment the Brain Balance
Program develops and implements a unique individualized program for each and
every child. Each child’s program addresses their specific areas of
difficulties related to the physical (sensory/motor) needs, bio-nutritional
(digestive difficulties, nutritional deficiencies) needs, as well as neuro-cognitive
(academics and behavioral) needs. For more information please go to their website www.brainbalancecenters.com No Dr Fitness' Fitness Tips this week but you can get his tips every day at our new website www.wellnessminutes.com or on iTunes here. Jamara at her website www.roswelltree.org On tonight's show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy learn all about how to connect with your inner truth so that you can release emotional barriers and energy blocks that cause pain and disease from author, blogger, speaker Deborah King. Deborah explained how illnesses of body, mind, and spirit are expressions of a personal imbalance with the truth. Deborah said "To many, it's a radical notion, but I have witnessed countless healings in people who were simply willing, finally, to face the truth about something in their lives."
She is the author of Truth Heals: What You Hide Can Hurt
You (available early 2009). She is also a health & wellness expert, attorney, frequent
TV commentator, national keynote speaker, and a “healer to the stars.” You can also find her as regular blogger for The Huffington Post. As a young attorney and hotel
developer, Deborah suffered from a host of emotional and medical problems,
culminating with cancer in her twenties. Her amazing recovery led her to leave
the corporate arena for the alternative medical field, where she mastered
ancient and modern healing systems and ultimately developed a powerful
technique of her own. She is trained to address both the mind and the body’s
health and disease processes (unlike a psychologist, who is restricted to the
mind) and makes frequent appearances on national news and entertainment
programs. We closed the show with Lampkin Butts, COO of Sanderson Farms, one of the nation's finest poultry providers. Lampkin is also actively involved in informing the public about some misleading labeling practices authorized by the USDA for fresh poultry. You see some chicken providers are injecting their birds with salt water and calling them "Natural Chickens." Lampkin's group the Truthful Labeling Coalition doesn't want these compnaies to be able to do that without letting the consumer know about it in big bold letters, not sime fine print on the bottom of the packaging. At Sanderson Farms where Lampkin works all his chickens are 100% All Natural Chicken no additives of any kind. He believes if you buy his chickens you should get all chicken.
