Author Leslie Goldman Takes Us Inside Her "Locker Room Diaries." And Diane Whitman, Ex-LPGA Golfer Gives Dr. Fitness Golf Tips

On tonight's show Doctor Fitness and the Fat Guy get the skinny about women and their body image issues from author Leslie Goldman. She wrote the book "Locker Room Diaries: The Naked Truth about Women, Body Image and Re-Imagining the "Perfect" Body." She was recently a guest on the Today Show and her book has been featured in We also had on Diane Whitman. Diane is currently a business coach with Realized Potential Inc. in Atlanta, GA. Diane was a professional golfer on the LPGA tour. She has been able to take what she learned playing golf at the highest level and transfer some of the lessons in order to help businesses grow and realize their fullest potential. Tonight's Sean highlight occured when he tried to explain the benfits of carrying pepper spray while you jog. Just make sure that any wind is blowing on the bad guy when you spray him. The Doctor also shared his tips on how to get out of an exercise slump and get back on your program again. I think these were his best tips in a long time. He said to start right away - don't put off exercising until that infamous Monday morning - start right this minute - or when you're done reading this blog entry. He gave several other tips including watching "Rocky" which is his favorite movie but you'll have to listen to get the rest of the tips. The fat guy shared a story about going to the dermatologist to get a lesion removed from his face. The doctor and Super Cop Sean made sure to tease the fat guy about the thing on his face. The doctor had some story about Alabama that really didn't interest anyone in the studio and he seems to be the only person who didn't think the movie "Talladega Nights" was funny. The Amazing Tim Triplett Hypnotizes The Doctor. And Cindy Says Columnist Says "Here's How To Lose Weight"

Cindy shared some of her favorite questions she has recieved through her popular health and fitness column in the Charleston Gazette. Like how to exercise when you are a passenger in an 18 wheeler; good exercises if you don't have access to weights because you happen to be in jail and a bunch more. Only Sean and the guy who got his car stolen would think that there are bad guys just waiting for you to head off on your run. Listen to his great tip of what not to do when you get out of your car and onto the trail. The Doctor also shared some great tips tips on exercises for toning up your arms, shoulders, back and legs. Sure you knew that lunges would be in there, but he added some old school exercises that you probably are not doing. You'll have to listen to get them all. And how important preparing meals are for people who know in advance that there will not be any healthy alternatives for them where they are going. Will shares his passion for St. Louis baseball and shares how the name Deadspin originated. Will updates Deadspin about 18 times each day. Will weighed in on how adults ruin kids' sports and he shared a funny story about his own baseball blooper which occured in the old Busch Stadium. The Doctor also shared his tips on how to decipeher all those blood tests you get at the doctor during your annual physical. He said your blood pressure should be 120/80; he said your total cholesterol should be less than 200. Your LDL should be less than 100 and your HDL should be over 60...he went into a whole bunch more stuff that I didn't understand and you'll have to listen to get. The doctor also told you about his fear of flying again and how this new airport rule about no liquids is going to mean that the doctor may never fly again. Super Mom, Stephanie Triplett from "The Mommy Chronicles" Takes Us Behind The Scenes Of Her Recent "Today Show" Appearance

On tonight's show Doctor Fitness and the Fat Guy get the skinny about motherhood from super mom Stephanie Triplett. Stephanie is the co-host of "The Mommy Chronicles" radio show on Sirius Radio Channel 114 on Fridays at 4pm EST and co-author of the best selling book of the same name. On our show she takes you behind the scenes of her segment and shares her views on all things mom. We also had on SuperCop Sean who was auditioning for a semi-permanent spot on the Dr. Fitness and the Fat Guy show. He recounted his experience on the TV show Cops. He also shared another exciting bust he made chasing down a car thief which involved going undercover as a recreational soccer player, scaling a barbed wire fence then body slamming the perp to the ground as he attempted to flee the scene. What he didn't mention was that the guy was about 60 years old. SuperCop Sean doesn't have a website yet, but if you send in enough emails maybe we'll have him back on the show. The Doctor also shared his tips on what you should do in order to get the best results from your exercise program. His tips included: get a partner; vary your workouts - choose different activities like dancing, yoga, kayaking, etc.; make exercise a top 3 non-negotiable priority and a whole bunch more that you'll have to listen to get. The doctor also told you about his love of steam saunas and where to get one for your home. We also covered his move to Huntsville, Alabama and his new job at Dr. Greg Millar's medical center. He gave a shout out to everyone he met in huntsville so they each better download this podcast. He also mentioned how Will Ferrell's new movie "Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby" is taking Huntsville by storm. Sean even suggested they are allowing kids to miss school to go on field trips to see this hit movie, but I don't think that is true. Pepperdine, NCAA Men's Tennis Champion Coach Adam Steinberg Talks About Malibu. And Dr. Ted Freeman Talks About Pain Pills.

On tonight's show Doctor Fitness and the Fat Guy get the skinny about college tennis from the NCAA men's college tennis Coach of the Year, Adam Steinberg. Adam coached Pepperdine to the NCAA Men's College Championship, winning it for the first time in Pepperdine's history. He talked about how bringing in athletes from all over the world to the beaches of Southern California helps him recruit. He mentioned that John McEnroe was hitting on his courts recently.
