"The funniest weight loss and fitness radio show on the internet." Please click on the POD button to listen to the latest Dr. Fitness and the Fat Guy show.
On tonight's show, Doctor Fitness and the Fat Guy get the skinny about hotness from one of the hottest actresses to grace our studio, Kathie Larkin. We also got the skinny on how to be skinny from Skinny Bitch author Rory Freedman. Then Lisa Taylor called in to share her tips on how to be a savvy mom.
First we had on Kathie Larkin who gave us a little insight into the modelling and acting world. Kathie has worked for years as a model, an actress, a national spokesperson and is now the dynamic co-host of the "Real Moms, Real Stories, Real Savvy" TV show. But her career almost didn't get off the ground. Very early in she was told by a top NY agent that she wasn't pretty enough, that she didn't have what it took to succeed. Kathie refused to believe that and has achieved so much despite her early rejection. Learn more about Kathie at her website getkathie.com
Rory Freedman, the co-author of the red hot, brutally honest, hilarious diet book Skinny Bitch was our next guest. She really tells it like it is when it comes to losing weight and being skinny. Her book pulls no punches and shares that not so pretty side of looking hot. Check out her website www.skinnybitch.net
Lisa Taylor joined us next and classed up the show with her British accent. She is with the "Real Moms, Real Stories, Real Savvy" TV show. Check out the website www.realsavvymoms.com for more info on the show and learn how you could submit a video and be featured on a future episode. There are also lots of great parenting tips and wisdom at the site.
Dr. Fitness had some really good tips about how to lose weight for the new year. New Year's resolution time is coming and everyone is going to want to pretend to try and lose weight to start 2007. Here a few of Dr. Fitness' tips...Number 1, cut your portions 25% at every meal. Number 2, do not make all or nothing sacrifices - don't say no more cookies...just eat less. And Number 3, slow down...meals are not a race. There were a lot more detail from Dr. Fitness, so you will have to listen to the show to find out all the rest of these great tips. And I'm sure he'll post all the tips on his blog, even the ones we didn't get to tonight.
Don't forget to check out the Fat Guy's new website www.GymsAreARipOff.com the Fat Guy thinks that gyms prey upon sedentary people and basically take their money knowing full well that they will stop going to the gym in a matter of weeks. So check out the Fat Guys "Gyms Are A Rip Off" blog and submit your gym horror story. It seems that people are frustrated by the broken promises their gym gave them when they joined and also they are usually disappointed when their hometown gym gets bought out by a large national corporate chain. Service usually goes downhill fast.
Also don't forget to check out Dr. Fitness on Huntsville, AL TV. He has a segment every Tuesday on the ABC affiliate there WAAY where he answers viewers weight loss questions. Their website is www.waaytv.com
